The AlpujarraTrails

The rides are constantly evolving and changing but basically we offer three itineraries - the Grand Alpujarra Trail,  The Coastal Range Ride and the Mountain Spirit Trail.

The Grand Alpujarra Trail  8 days - 6 days riding

This trail explores the Alpujarra in depth and is a combination of all the highlights of our old Green Sierra and Nevada Blue rides.  Varied terrain, riding at all paces and some of the most stunning views in Europe (plus of course our legendary picnics!) has made this an extremely popular choice and has many adherents.  Horse and Hound  journalist Suze Ingle called it, "one of my best holidays ever"

The Coastal Range Trail  8 days - 6 days riding

In May, September and October, we head into the Sierra De Contraviesa to take advantage of the warm breezes from the Mediterranean and lush environment of this beautiful coastal range. This ride also spends 2 nights at the beautiful Moraymar Hotel - always popular with our clients - and is a fascinating trail in its own right as well as providing something new for our regular riders

 The Mountain Spirit Trail  5 days - 3 days riding

This ride explores the upper reaches of the Trevelez and Poquiera Valleys and was designed  to give those with less time an insight into this amazing area.  This ride was recently described by Gary Ashton-Coulton in HORSE magazine as "....the best holiday I have ever had"
