Snow horse rides: Integral tour horseback adventure

Day 1: Pickup and transfer from Málaga/Granada/Almería airport and arrival at the hotel at Puerto de la Ragua. Evening dinner.

Day 2: ½ day pairing-up riders & horses, equipment preparation and an orientation ride up to Pico Chullo (2.600m) and returns to the hotel. (4 hr)

Day 3: Puerto de la Ragua- Bérchules. Dawn departure from the stables at Aventura Polar en el Sur. En- route lunch and evening arrival with dinner at Local rural hotel. (8 hr)

Day 4: Berchules – Trevélez. Outdoor lunch and evening arrival with dinner at local rural in Trevelez, Spain´s highest mountain village. (6 hr)

Day 5: Trevelez – Sierra Nevada Skin Station. We begin our ascent to the base of the Mulhacén mountain peak (3.481m), ride through the Veleta range and arrive at Sierra Nevada Ski station to a 4****Hotel with dinner. (6 hr)

Final destination of the 1st fase of the horseback trek with the option to continue.

Day 6: Cultural visit to Granada:
Visit the Generalife & Alhambra, (morning), lunch at a typical restaurant; visit the Albaycín (afternoon), overnight stay at a 4****Hotel in Sierra Nevada.

Day 7: Option A: Breakfast and return to the Airport
Option B: The beginning of a 3 day ride through the North face of the Sierra Nevada back to Puerto de la Ragua.

Day 7-9: 3 day ride through the towns of Güejar Sierra; Jerez del Marquesado; Lanteira, Aldeire; La Calahorra; until we reach Puerto de la Ragua.

Day 9: Arrival at our horse stables of Aventura Polar en el Sur at Puerto de la Ragua with an overnight stay and dinner at our hotel “Posada de los Arrieros”.

Day 10: Breakfast and return to Airport.

Local hotels with double bedroom, breakfasts, dinners and outdoor camp lunches. Transfers to and from airport. Insurances of civil responsability policy.

Accident insurance policy NOT included.

The company owns and operates its entire infrastructure including: 22 Apaloosa and Hispano-arab horses from 5 to 9 years of age. Texan style mounts, horsestables and training grounds and our own rural hotel and restaurant. Our staff is specialized in high altitude horse treks.
