The accommodation
at Alentejo
We are situated in a small valley, overlooking the Cercal Ridge.
Although it may feel as if we are in ‘the middle of nowhere’,
the coastal village of Vila Nova de Milfontes with it’s fishing
harbour, shops and restaurants, is only a 12 minute drive away.
The nine guestrooms at the farm are located in the rebuilt section
of the original farm in the “Monte” style, with thick,
Tapia walls. This ancient method of building walls, using mud and
stones pressed into large blocks, guarantees coolness in the summer
months and warmth in the winter.

The rooms are spacious and airy, each with their own en-suite bathroom.
Big wooden and glass doors open onto a terrace, with wonderful views
of the surrounding Cercal Ridge.
The palette used when decorating the rooms reflects local colours – ochre,
terra, olive and sand give the rooms a tranquil feeling.

There also is a swimming pool situated in the extensive garden area
amidst the horse fields, in front of the clubhouse terrace. The
clubhouse is where meals are served on ride weeks and is an area
to relax with a nice book from the clubhouse library or enjoy a
cool drink.
