Equestrian Residential Programmes
The following prices are for guests staying at either the
Hunting Lodge or the Village Houses. If you are a member of a Riding Club or
Pony Club we have discounted rates on offer on production of a valid membership
card. Please ask our reservations team for more information on these rates. We
welcome you to bring your own horse on holidays and livery is available at €25
per night (€20 for two nights). Equi-Intro (Beginners)For those with no or limited experience, let Castle Leslie introduce you to the joy of riding with this package. Our mechanical horse will let you grasp the basics before trying the real thingEqui-Trek (Novice) Ideally suited for novice riders who wish to enjoy the scenery on horseback while getting some training to give pointers on improving their skills. Riders progress to jump small cross-country fences towards the end of the programmeEqui-Improve (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced)For intermediate & advanced riders wishing to learn new techniques and get training while enjoying the thrill of 2 hour cross-country rides & group lessonAll-inclusive Programmes for all of the above are as follows:
Equi-Country (Intermediate, Advanced)Tackle a wide variety of natural cross-country fences over undulating terrain. Riders need to be a minimum of intermediate standard and relatively fit as this is a challenging but demanding programme.All-inclusive Programmes for Equi-Country:
Equi-Chef (All Levels)
Combine time in the kitchen with time in the saddle! This is suited to all
levels of culinary and equestrian expertise. The 1 day course includes an
evening Cookery programme and a 2 hour’s of riding to suit your level.
Equi-Sensual (All Levels)
Suitable for all levels, enjoy an equestrian activity that
suits you and indulge in the spa to ease any fatigued muscles from the day's
exertions. The 1 day course includes a spa treatment and 2 hour’s of riding to
suit your level.
PROGRAMME BreakdownHunting Lodge: Include breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Hunting Lodge (based on per person sharing)

Booking InformationIf you have any questions or queries about anything please ask. If you are restricted to certain dates it is advisable to contact us in plenty of time to reserve your holiday - we can make provisional reservations while you check out flights etc. Once all is in order we require a deposit of 25% to confirm your booking, generally this is non refundable but in special circumstances we will hold a deposit for use in the future. Useful Information It is compulsory that clients? hats/helmets are up to one of the following standards - PAS015, BS EN1384, ASTM1163/SEI. All hats must have a 3 point harness and fit correctly. It is strongly recommended that client wear body protectors - preferably to CE Mark Purple Standard - any reputable tack shop will be able to advise on safety equipment. We recommend for riding wear breeches or riding trousers with rubber boots - Leather boots can be worn, but they require more maintenance in wet weather. Chaps and short boots are fine. A waterproof coat or jacket and warm sweaters as the weather in Ireland can be unpredictable, so it is better to wear layers rather than 1 bulky item. We also recommend that you bring gloves and a whip. A laundry service is available but please ensure that you bring sufficient riding clothes. The dress code for evenings is casual. For electrical equipment Ireland operates on 240v, 3 square pin plugs - same as the U.K. - not as mainland Europe. NOTE - Riding is a dangerous sport, participants in any of the programmes are advised to have adequate personal accident insurance cover in the event of an accident. Please ensure that your hat, back protector and footwear are of the correct standard. Please inform the management of any medical condition that may affect your ability to ride.
